Marcos Juncal

Marcos Juncal (1975, Pontevedra) is a Spanish sculptor based in Mallorca. Trained as a Master Sculptor at the School of Stonemasons of Pontevedra, he worked in the studio of Francisco Leiro and currently teaches sculpture at ADEMA in Palma.

Working with stone, metal, wood, found objects and industrial materials, Juncal explores processes of transformation, displacement and recontextualization, creating sculptural assemblages that examine the relationship between objects, space and contemporary society.

His work has been shown, among others, at a66Gallery, Casal Solleric and Museu de Porreres. In 2026, a66Gallery presented his work at Art Cologne Palma. In 2025, Juncal received the First Prize at the XVI Certamen de Artes Plásticas de Inca. His work is held in collections including IVAM – Institut Valencià d’Art Modern, ABANCA Contemporary Art Collection and the Provincial Council of Pontevedra.
