Jaewon Kim
Jaewon Kim (1987, Seoul) is a South Korean artist based in Hamburg.
After studying Photography at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, he completed his BA and MFA in Fine Art at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK), studying with Thomas Demand, Ceal Floyer and Martin Boyce.
Working across sculpture, installation and drawing, Kim explores the relationship between technology, nature and human perception. His work has been shown, among others, at a66Gallery, Kunsthaus Hamburg, Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof and SWAB Barcelona.
In 2026, he received the Kunststipendium of the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Stormarn. His work is held in the collections of MONTBLANC HAUS and the Stiftungen der Sparkasse Holstein.
