
Jana Jacob is a painter based in Berlin. Her current oil painting shows a mixture of self-portrayal, latent exhibitionism and voyeurism. Increasingly saturated colours, juicy andcoarse brushstrokes reveal the interplay between the partly inaccessibly intimate and still shamefaced, hesitant desire to show oneself. The often excerpts of human of human body parts, create their own symmetry. They become scenic elevations, ravines, caves and tell out of context their own stories.
