Hyeon O

Hyeon O (1996, Seoul) is a South Korean artist living and working in Seoul. She received her BFA in Painting from Sejong University in 2020.

Working primarily with layered pigments on traditional Hanji paper, Hyeon O explores states of memory, uncertainty and transition. Her quiet, introspective figures inhabit the space between presence and absence, reflecting on moments in which change has begun but has not yet fully taken shape.

Her work has been shown, among others, at a66Gallery, K11 Art Museum in Beijing, CICA Museum in Gimpo, GR Gallery and Allouche Gallery in New York, as well as in solo exhibitions in Seoul and Taipei.
